Consistently, the feedback I receive from clients is that the therapy and interventions I offer are more powerful and effective than they have encountered in their therapeutic experiences. I offer a simple-to-understand and utilize way of working with "problems" so they become very-solvable "puzzles." Clients are given the tools to solve current problems, as well as similar issues in their future experience. We get to the point, make profound changes as fast as the client is able to go, and incorporate the attendant learning to facilitate increasingly independent and powerful functioning.

35+ years of experience helping people with depression, anger mastery, parenting, co-dependency, assertive living and communication, self-esteem, couples and family therapy (systems approach), emotional and personal growth, cross-gender communication, parent-child relationships, domestic violence (to name those most frequently addressed)have helped me to develop an incisive, powerful, effective, very supportive and lasting method of helping people to grow and change. End your pain, now!

I am trained as a systems family therapist, in EMDR, in Gestalt methods, in the Eriksonian approach, and as a Transpersonal therapist, helping people bring the dysfunctional aspects of their lives into harmony with universal principle.

General Comments:
45 years ago, when I first entered personal psychotherapy, I wish I had been able to find a person who does therapy the way I do it. It would have saved me a LOT of time, trouble, pain and ineffectiveness!

After 35+ years as a psychotherapist, author, teacher, seminar leader, professional speaker and coach, the pathway for change with which I work has come together into a simple, easy-to-understand and powerful system, based on "how things [really] work" in the world. Changes made are complete changes. The tools you learn allow you to resolve future problems on your own, increasing your independence, confidence and joy in life. They are also applicable in a variety of situations. Contrary to what most therapists believe, it IS possible to end repetitive problems, heal old pains and live a very complete life! In fact, the system is designed for this to happen. Categories regarding "type of work" and "type of problem" offered here are too limiting for the range of problems and concerns with which we can work.

I've always appreciated people who have been through their own trials and dealt with them well, so they can teach others. Experts don't write books--people who have things to learn write books! Here are topics on which I have written (and published) that today total 14 books or booklets: Conscious Parenting, Gender Communication, Energy-Draining, Anger Mastery, Self-Esteem, Jealousy, Grief, Guilt, Fear, Hurt, Loneliness, Happiness, Shame/Remorse, Love, Intimacy and "Born to Learn," the book that puts it all together and explains the system we are all given for living life. Check out my author's page on Amazon.com/

You can also listen to hours of my "Full Power Living" Internet radio program, which I have been airing over worldtalkradio.com since 2004. Our focus is on "awakening the world to the power and importance of human emotions." We have over 100 programs archived, to which you can listen 24/7.

If you're not sure whether I can help you, do contact me. I'm confident you will know clearly whether what I offer is helpful to you following our first meeting. Phone consultations are available throughout California.

I'm one of the early pioneers in the area of "emotional intelligence." My books were first published in the early 1990's. My ideas have been featured on national television, in major magazines (for example, Woman's Day and Excellence), in selected newspapers (Dallas Morning News, San Francisco Chronicle), on radio in Australia, on cruise ships and in professional, parenting and association groups throughout the U.S. This means they've been taught to thousands of people and are very time-tested, making them more reliable for you and your change!
