General Comments:
After a successful practice for 15 years in Southern California, I have recently moved to Auburn, fulfilling my dream of living in the Sierras. Since I'm building my practice again, I'd like to tell you a little about how I approach therapy. I see therapy as a highly interactive process. Certainly listening to my client is key, and supports the concept of "starting where the client is". From there we develop a plan for treatment together. Then I provide the tools we will use for healing and growth, such as EMDR, resource development, cognitive-behavioral therapy, art and play therapy, family and couples therapy, and more. Imagine the tools as a flashlight that I shine on the light switch across a dark room; then imagine yourself crossing the room to turn on the light. It can be an exciting process! I'm looking forward to sharing that process with you.
