Life has its ups and downs and is not always such an easy place to navigate. Feeling defeated, misunderstood, and confused is common. In fact, it happens to the best of us. Depression, anxiety, conflict, low self-esteem, and feeling unfulfilled are just some of the experiences we all endure as we try to make sense of our lives. It is my conviction that psychotherapy helps not only in accepting the inherent difficulties of living but also in changing patterns of thinking and behaving that have gotten in the way of living a more satisfactory and successful life.
In our work together, I am interested in exploring how past issues impact and inform the present; in working with dreams, as I think they are often a great source of insight; and in creating a collaborative, relational atmosphere with each of my patients.
I treat individuals, couples, and families for a variety of issues. My approach is to start with what feels most important to you. I recognize you have a unique personality, with individual needs and ways of relating to others. I'm sensitive to those needs while addressing the problem at hand.
Psychotherapy is worth giving a shot even if it feels (understandably) difficult to do. Worst case scenario is that it's not for you.
Look forward to hearing from you!
