Personal Comments:
What defines a truly gifted psychotherapist is being able to listen and being awake. Awake in the spiritual sense. Technique is never a substiture for talent. I invite clients who feel like they have had treatment failures or couples who belive they are hopeless to call. Lives can change, transformation is possible.
I am a psychotherapist who believes in experience, training and talent. I hold two Masters Degrees, one post graduate Fellowship and have managed more than 10 community mental health programs and/or hospital units.
I have logged more than 12000 group psychotherapy hours and over 10,000 individual psychotherapy hours.
I have conducted workshops at Esalen Institute, taught at several local graduate schools and am regularly consulted by local nonprofits and private corporations to provide psychotherapy for their employees and/or executives.
I believe that the work I co-create with clients is unique, time effective and produces measurable improvement in the quality of their lives.
I practice with a psychopharmacologist so clients may receive medication evaluations and ongoing medication management at the same location they receive psychotherapy.
This again promotes collaboration with a treatment team providing a unique continuum of care and maximum convenience.
In conclusion from somatic therapy to psychotherapy I have spent over two decades in developing work that supports healing in a unique and "evidence based" model. People who participate in psychotherapy with me do find the change and the healing they seek. They also become able to heal and manage their lives without ongoing psychotherapy. My goal is to provide the tools and the "space" for tranformation to occur.

The last two years have been exciting in the change of my work. Under the mentorship of Dr. Allan Schore I am now working in the : "Body, Brain and Mind Model."
This new work has allowed me to become more involved, closer to the "feeling" states that patients come to therapy to learn to regulate and improve.
I am delighted to work on the cutting edge paradigm fascilitated by the latest research on the brain and body relationship.
